The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training scheme in the UK. Its aim is to promote responsible dog ownership and in turn, enhance our relationship with our pets and to make the community aware of the benefits associated with dog ownership
All dogs are eligible for Good Citizen Dog Training, whether they are young or old, pedigree or crossbreed.
The Scheme incorporates four Award levels:
- Puppy Foundation
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
Each award is a natural progression and aims to build understanding and knowledge for both dog and owner.
At our recent Bronze, Silver and Gold test nights, we had a significantly high pass rate with our current members.
The awards took place over two nights and were judged by Lesley Manning and Pat Burford who are both qualified and practising Judges at Kennel Club Licenced Open and Championship Obedience shows.
We were highly delighted with the results as were all those members taking part.
